Advertising Spread: Coca-Cola

For our final project we could do an advertising spread for a product. I decided to do Coca-Cola. I decided to go with a little more vintage theme to this campaign.

I chose my sister, Grace Ramirez, 18, currently residing in Orlando, Florida, to model the product for me. She is a second semester freshman at UCF studying Athletic Training.

Short people can model too!

For our next assignment, we had to do fashion portraits. I chose my roommate as my model.

Keirstin Yantis, 20, from Carmel, Indiana, once aspired to be a fashion model. She is currently a sophomore at Flagler College with a track in Graphic Design. Keirstin hopes to one day work as a creative director for TOMs Shoes.

And I managed to capture this really trippy shot that I thought was really cool:

Night Photogs

Brother and sister duo Erik, 16, and Lauren Christiansen, 20, of Gainesville, Florida, mimic their favorite character Zoolander, at the Providence High School Homecoming game, in Jacksonville, Florida.
Lauren Mathis, 20, of Jacksonville, Florida, anxiously awaits for her fellow mini-golfers to finish their round, at Adventure Landing in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.

The following shots are just of me experimenting with some glow sticks (and a glow stick gun) I purchased at the Dollar Store:

Self Portrait II

Since this week has been so hectic with midterms and papers, I have not really had the opportunity to go out and take pictures this week. So this is me, stuck in my room, procrastinating from studying for another test.

Another shot of me procrastinating, or just shoe gazing.

And here is a blurred shot of me, representing the insanity I am going through over this week.

Enviromental Portraits: Let's Go Surfing!

Angela Antigua, 20, has been surfing for a good majority of her life. Originally from Miami Beach, Florida, Angela has always been around the water – so surfing was an amazing hobby to have. With her surfing, she has been able to travel around the world, experiencing waves in three different continents. So over the weekend, I decided to follow her as she goes about her day-to-day in the surf. Although she is my cousin, she was a bit uncomfortable with me shooting her, so the spontaneous shots worked out the best.

A spontaneous shot of Angela in front of her collection of surfboards she purchased herself at her beach house in Vilano Beach, Florida. Varying in sizes, shapes, brands, she has a board for any type of surf.

Comparing the sizes of the boards that Angela has, with her as a example. She's 5'3".

Doing what she does best: surfing. Pictured in Jacksonville Beach, the surf was an absolute mess. So Angela tries her best to ride the mini waves that the Jacksonville had to offer.

A personal quote from Angela herself best describes why she enjoys surfing so much: "I like to surf because it puts my mind at peace and it feels good to be one with the ocean and nature. Because of all the different kinds of variables and conditions it presents, the ocean has taught me a lot about myself and life in general. It frees me of my troubles and stress. Surfing is the best medicine."

Movement

For the next assignment we had to take motion shots. I decided to shoot my dog, Charlotte because she never likes to stay still. Plus, when the assignment is due is the same day as her birthday!

Charlotte Nahm, 7, a Lhaso-Poo puppy, never likes to be photographed and always strays away from the camera. Thus being the perfect subject for a blurred picture.
Finally able to stay a little still, Charlotte manages to blur an image by wiggling her nose because the scent of food was near by.
Charlotte becomes bored by my attempts to photograph her. She is displeased.
As a reward for her efforts, and allowing me to photograph her, I gave her some peanut butter as a treat -- her favorite. She struggles for quite a while to lick all the peanut butter off her fur.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLOTTE!

And here's another attempt at motion:

On September 18, 2010, Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Antiqua, (Adrian, 25, left, Aby, 27, right), from Gainesville, Fla, walk down the aisle as a brand new couple as hoards of relatives snap off pictures.
I, Kimmie Nahm, 20, walking to the near by church's pumpkin patch.

Keirstin Yantis, 20, from Carmel, Indiana, arms pictured, attempts to juggle a miniature pumpkin.
